These cards, installed in dedicated slots on the motherboard, provide additional hardware capabilities, enabling computers to handle demanding tasks and deliver richer multimedia experiences. In this lesson, we explore the world of expansion cards, focusing on four crucial components: sound cards, video graphics cards, modem cards, and network cards.



i. Sound Cards: The Music Makers



Sound cards are essential components for enabling computers to produce and process audio signals. They convert digital audio data into analog signals that can be amplified and played through speakers or headphones.
